Heartbreak Landscape is a meandering single-player co-op experience. It unfolds through simultaneous play with various elements of weather, vegetational systems, shifting landscapes, and friendly animals across multiple interconnected yet independent locations.

The game intertwines different moments and ideas of ecological simulations, nature-themed games, and climate topics, with related themes of progress, reduction, complexity, withdrawal, and worldliness. Different layers of temporalities, control, and responsibility are explored.
